NOTICE OF SPARTA CUSD 140 BOARD OF EDUCATION - MEETING TIME CHANGE
Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of School District No. 140 in the County of Randolph, State of Illinois, that the regular meeting to be held on October 8, 2026, at Evansville Attendance Center, 701 Oak Street, Evansville, Illinois, will begin at 5 p.m. instead of the usual start time of 7 p.m.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS UNDER SCHOOL CODE SECTION
10-22.13
The Board of Education for Sparta Community Unit School District 140 will hold and conduct three (3) public hearings. The sole purpose of which shall be to discuss the decision to close Evansville Attendance Center school building, located at 701 Oak Street in Evansville, Illinois, and to receive input from the community on this matter.
The first public hearing shall be conducted at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Evansville Attendance Center, 701 Oak Street in Evansville, Illinois, in the Cafeteria.
The second public hearing shall be conducted at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at Sparta Lincoln School, 203A Dean Avenue in Sparta, Illinois, in the Library.
The third public hearing shall be conducted at 6 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at Evansville Attendance Center, 701 Oak Street in Evansville, Illinois, in the Cafeteria.
